SEDRA project is revolutionizing the way rural and agricultural MSMEs access financial services.

In today's rapidly evolving world, access to financial services and business support is crucial for the growth and sustainability of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). With a focus on sustainable and socially responsible lending practices, the project aims to enhance the capacities of partner banks, provide financial literacy and business management skills to MSMEs, and implement good agricultural practices to boost productivity.

One significant milestone achieved by the SEDRA project was the collaboration with Siddhartha Bank and Muktinath Bikas Bank, two esteemed partner banks in Nepal. Working alongside international and local consultants, the project successfully built relationships with the partner banks and other stakeholders on the ground. As part of their efforts, they joined forces with digital service providers, including BFC, to introduce innovative solutions like Tigg, a financial technology platform. Through Tigg, loan-taking customers of Siddhartha Bank were provided with comprehensive training, empowering them with the knowledge and tools necessary to manage their businesses effectively.

By leveraging digital platforms like Tigg, the SEDRA project is revolutionizing the way rural MSMEs access financial services and gain valuable business insights. This initiative not only equips MSMEs with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in a competitive landscape but also fosters sustainable growth and social responsibility. With the continued dedication and collaboration of the SEDRA project, partner banks, and other stakeholders, we can look forward to a future where rural and agricultural MSMEs play a vital role in driving economic progress and transforming communities.
