Explore how Tigg’s import feature simplifies data import process, saving time and reducing errors

Whether you're transitioning from another software solution or need to update your records, Tigg's import feature offers an efficient way to handle data without manual entry. In this blog post, we'll explore how Tigg's import functionality can save you time, reduce errors, and enhance your overall experience.

Why Use Tigg's Import Feature?

Time Savings: Manually entering data can be time-consuming and error-prone. With Tigg's import feature, you can quickly upload large datasets, including master data (such as customers, suppliers, accounts and products with opening balances) and accounting transactions (such as journal vouchers, invoices, and purchase bills), all in just a few clicks.

Accuracy and Consistency: When migrating from another system, maintaining data accuracy is crucial. Tigg's import process ensures that your records are consistent and error-free. You can map fields from your existing data to Tigg's format, minimizing discrepancies.

Effortless Transition: If you're switching from a different software, Tigg's import feature simplifies the transition. You won't need to manually recreate all your data—just export it from your old system and import it into Tigg. It’s as simple as that.

How Tigg's Import Works

Downloadable Templates: Tigg provides downloadable templates for various data types:

- Master Data: Use templates for customers, suppliers, accounts, products and other essential records.

- Accounting Transactions: Templates for journal vouchers, invoices, and purchase bills are also available.

Upload Process: Upload Template with Data:

- To begin, upload your prepared data file (in CSV or Excel format) directly into Tigg.

- This step ensures that your data is ready for processing.

Error Check:

- Tigg will automatically scan the uploaded data for any errors.

- If any issues are detected, they will be highlighted for your attention.

Confirmation:

- If there are no errors, you can confidently confirm the upload.

- Your data will be successfully imported into Tigg.

Best Practices for Data Import

Clean Your Data: Before importing, clean up your data. Remove duplicates, correct inconsistencies, and ensure proper formatting.

Test with a Subset: If you're importing a large dataset, test the process with a smaller subset first. This helps identify any issues before the full import.

Remember, data import doesn't have to be a headache—let Tigg handle it for you!

 Happy importing!
