Switching from Tally to Tigg is now easier! Learn how.

Switching to Tigg from Tally is easier than you might think. We’ve developed a Tigg Migration TDL that allows you to seamlessly export your Tally data in a format that Tigg supports. With just a few simple steps, you can migrate your master data, opening balances, and even your transaction history.

Step-by-Step Migration Process

1. Install the Tigg Migration TDL in Tally

Begin by installing the Tigg Migration TDL provided by our support team.

2. Access the Tigg Migration Menu in Tally

Once installed, you will see a new menu option called “Tigg Migration” in the Gateway of Tally.

3. Choose Your Migration Method

Under Tigg Migration, you will find two options:

  • Migrate Without Transaction: This method is ideal if you just want to carry forward your account structure and balances to Tigg. It exports all the master records (like accounts, customers, and products) along with their closing balances, which will become your opening balances in Tigg. It does not bring over past transactions, so your Tigg account will start fresh from the migration date.

  • Migrate With Transaction: This method is for users who want a complete history. In addition to the master data and opening balances, it also exports all General Ledger (GL) transactions from Tally. This ensures that your entire transaction history is available in Tigg, offering a more seamless continuity from your previous system.

4. Import Data into Tigg

After exporting the data from Tally, go to Tigg > Configuration > Import/Export to import the files.

  • Master Data Files: Import all accounts, products, customers, suppliers, and other master details.
  • Journal Voucher File: This file contains all the General Ledger transactions from Tally and should be imported as journal vouchers in Tigg.

If your Tally data includes inventory movement transactions, please note that Tigg currently does not support direct migration of inventory movement data. However, you can import your item list with opening balances and bring in your General Ledger transactions, which will ensure your financial history is fully captured in Tigg.
